Male Caught Sitting In Stranger's Kitchen After Pushing His Way Into Residence

On April 1st, 2020, just before 11:23pm, an adult male knocked on the front door of a residence located near the intersection Macalister Boulevard and Victoria Road South in the City of Guelph. When the resident opened the door, the male pushed his way into the house, walked to the kitchen and sat in a chair. The male refused to leave and the Guelph Police Service was notified.

When officers arrived at the scene, the male was still sitting on a chair in the kitchen.

At 11:32pm, the male was arrested. A search incident to arrest revealed 0.36 grams of Cocaine.

A 27 year old Guelph male has been charged with:

  • Unlawfully In A Dwelling
  • Possession Of A Controlled Substance (Schedule 1)

He will appear in court on July 24th.

Male Arrested With Prohibited Weapon

On April 2nd, 2020, a 4:45am, the Guelph Police Service received a public complaint in regards to an adult male having a taser near the area of Waterloo Avenue and Edinburgh Road North in the City of Guelph.

A short time later, police located the male in a vehicle seen leaving the scene. He was detained and police found a black taser/baton/flashlight weapon in the vehicle. The male was subsequently arrested.

An 18 year old Guelph male has been charged with:

  • Possession Of A Prohibited Weapon
  • Breach Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation

He will appear in court on July 14th.

Male Becomes Irate After Caught Shoplifting

On March 28th, 2020, at 10am, a staff member of a grocery store located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph caught an adult male shoplifting, as he was seen placing a bag of chips under his jacket. The staff member requested that he return the chips but the male refused. He then began yelling and pointing in the staff member’s face. The male ultimately crushed the bag of chips, threw them in the garbage, spit on a store sign and walked out of the store swearing.

On April 1st, the male was arrested in the downtown core and was subsequently arrested after a brief foot chase.

A 24 year old Guelph male has been charged with:

  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Mischief Under $5,000

He will appear in court on July 17th.

Female Arrested For Numerous Warrants

On January 17th, an arrest warrant was issued for an adult female in regards to the charge of Fail To Comply With Release Order.

On February 14th, the female failed to re-attend court in regards to the following charges:

  • Theft Under $5,000 x4
  • Possession Of Stolen Property Under $5,000
  • Possession Of Mail
  • Breach Probation x2
  • Fail To Appear In Court
  • Fail To Re-Attend Court

As a result, a second arrest warrant was issued for the female on February 18th.

On February 25th, a third arrest warrant was issued for the female in regards to Enter Premise When Entry Prohibited.

On April 1st, at 7:39pm, police found the female outside a residence located near the intersection of Fife Road and Wellington Street West in the City of Guelph. She was subsequently arrested.

A 33 year old Guelph female has been additionally charged with Fail To Re-Attend Court.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing on April 2nd.

Male Shoplifted Approximately $600 Worth Of Merchandise

On April 1st, 2020, just before 3:56pm, an adult male shoplifted approximately $600 worth of merchandise from a store located near the intersection of Clair Road West and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph. He used the self check out and pretended to scan the items. He was seen leaving in a white Cadillac.

The male is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 40 years old
  • Bald
  • Wearing sunglasses and black clothing
