Guelph Man Arrested - August Court Appearance
Sex-related Charges Laid Against Guelph Man
On July 20, 2017, after an investigation by members of Internet Child Exploitation unit, Brandy Pierce, a 37 year old resident of Guelph was arrested.
Mr. Pierce was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Luring a person under 16 years of age contrary to section 172.1(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
- Two counts of making sexually explicit material available to a child, contrary to 171.1(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
- Invitation to sexual touching contrary to section 152 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Mr. Pierce was released with strict conditions and is to appear in court on Friday, August 11, 2017.

Other Recent Incidences:
At approximately 2:30pm on July 20th, police received information regarding a man asleep behind the wheel of a pick-up on Inverness Drive. The man was awoken by police and the interaction with the him led officers to believe that his ability to operate the motor vehicle was impaired. The male was arrested and then found to be in possession of quantities of drugs believed to marihuana and cocaine.
At the station, breath samples did not detect any alcohol and samples of his urine were collected for analysis.
Kevin Hewitt, a 32 year old Guelph man was charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle by drug and two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on August 29, 2017.
Just after 1am this morning, police received information about a male that was seen smoking drugs at the rear of a north end plaza. Police located the male inside one of the businesses there and found him to be in possession of a quantity of drugs believed to be marihuana and crystal methamphetamine as well as property that did not belong to him.
The 39 year old man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with five counts of breach of recognizance, breach of undertaking, two counts of drug possession and possession of stolen property. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court later today.
Brick thrown at car
At approximately 7:44am on July 20th, a male threw a brick through the driver’s side window of a vehicle that was parked in front of a Fountain Street business. When police arrived to investigate, they located the male in the middle of the road ranting and upset.
The 34 year old Guelph man was arrested without incident and held in custody to appear in bail court.
