Now accepting Fall applicants!

Living by yourself is a huge step in any adult’s life. People with developmental exceptionalities rarely get the chance to practice their own independent living skills. However, these skills are crucial to empower individuals to find a job, live happily and integrate within the larger community. Community of Hearts has created our Independent Hearts program to empower members of our community to grow, develop their skills further and flourish.

What is Independent Hearts?
A choice of a 5-month or 2-month skill-based program to experience living independently and to build upon their Independent Living Skills. We offer one-on-one support, an independence evaluation and a safe space for participants to learn and practice the skills they will need to live independently.

Independent Hearts is very willing to adjust our program to your specific needs.
